A BUMPER crowd of campers and day visitors packed into the UK Summer Motorhome & Caravan Show this past weekend for two days and nights of show action and thrilling live entertainment.

Taking place at Maidstone’s Kent Event Centre on June 4-5, 2016, the main show attracted traders of leisure vehicles and related products from across the UK and many reported hugely successful sales weekends.

Camper Life Outdoor Products’ Leon Dolan said: “We had a great few days’ trading, especially on Saturday, and we’re delighted with the results considering we’ve travelled all the way from Teeside to attend.

“As a new start-up business with new products – multi-scented cleaning fluids and other outdoor items – it’s vital we spread the word about our range and we couldn’t have chosen a better way to do so than a visit to this Kent event.”

John Cross Motorhomes’ Richard Molyneux added: “The UK Summer Motorhome & Caravan Show at Detling is ideally located for us and the weekend was a great success.

“Our team was able to get out and meet many new and existing customers, helping them with their technical queries as well as show our selection of quality Fiamma products.

It was superb to see so many enthusiasts getting out in their leisure vehicles to enjoy the weather.”

Arriving on Friday, June 3, weekend campers were treated to two incredible nights of evening entertainment from internationally renowned Michael Jackson Tribute Navi and 1950s rock ’n’ roll legend Marty Wilde.

The pair headlined Friday and Saturday nights respectively, and entertainment coordinator Rachel Hippey said: “What a weekend! Both Navi and Marty Wilde were superb and we’re delighted to have been able to give our campers the opportunity to see these two breath-taking acts. The packed crowd really were given a treat.”

Along with the line-up on stage, campers enjoyed activities in the daytimes such as cash-prize bingo, line dancing lessons and bus trips to nearby Rochester.

Attention for the organising team now turns to the UK Autumn Motorhome & Caravan Show at Newark Showground on September 3-4.
